Nissan and City Ventures Join Forces to Create 190 EV-Ready Homes

Nissan is taking green living from autos to houses.  That's right, earlier this month, the Japanese automaker announced a new joint project with City Ventures aimed at pre-wiring 190 houses in the state of California.

"Pre-wiring for what?" you ask. Level II electric vehicle charging docks recommended for the Nissan LEAF, that's what. And, while only three developments in California have been selected to initially participate in the initiative, City Ventures plans to pre-wire houses in all of its new housing developments, moving forward.

For Nissan drivers, not familiar with City Ventures, it essentially is one of the…

Production Plans For The Nissan LEAF Are Postponed

The Nissan LEAF production was set to start late in 2012 at the Smyrna, Tennessee plant but after the terrible events that took place on March 11 the company may have to postpone that start date.

"On March 11 every operation stopped, so all the resources that were in place [to begin manufacturing the LEAF in the U.S.] were used to restore Japan," explains Hideaki Watanabe, Head, Global Zero Emission Vehicle Business Unit, Nissan. Nissan Cube 1.8S Krom

For a car named Cube there sure are a lot of round angles - such as the rippling headliner, rounded edges on the head and fog lamps - even the fenders are round. But the Nissan Cube Krom edition is an experience on the road, no matter what the shape.

Don't call The Cube a hybrid or an alternative fueled vehicle, because it isn't, but it sure saves on fuel economy - with EPA fuel-mileage estimates of 27 mpg city and 31 mpg highway.

Thanks to a 1.8-liter four-cylinder that produces 122 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque, the Cube…

Nissan Sentra 2.5 SE-R Spec V

Back for 2010 is the Nissan Sentra 2.5 SE-R Spec V. This stock sports upgrade of the small Sentra is one of the more rare and popular Nissan models out there today. It is a rebirth of a tradition of the souped up Sentra, and it does not disappoint.

2010's Nissan Sentra looks like a shorter, smaller car than it actually is, from a distance. Many design cues, like flared-outward headlamps and prominent flanks in at the top of the rear fenders, are borrowed from Nissan's larger Altima and Maxima models.

Inside, the car is designed a…
